The camera uses the seven AF points to detect the nearest and farthest subjects to be in focus. You can make the image look lighter increased exposure or darker decreased exposure. This feature is useful for backlit and spotlighted subjects. In Creative Zone modes, partial metering will be used automatically for AE lock.

Bulb is useful when a long exposure is necessary for capturing night scenes, fireworks, the night sky, etc. Since bulb exposures will have more noise than usual, the image will look rough or grainy.
